My area of expertise is Jewish records in Russian from Poland between 1868 and 1917. As such, I translate birth, death and marriage records, registry books and other genealogical documents from Russian to English and French. For years prior to 1868, which are in Polish, or records in German (for the former Prussian and Austrian/Galician parts of Poland), I work with translators for those languages.
My flat rate is $20/USD (or the equivalent in CAN $) plus any additional fees for accessing records not readily available online, either from Polish State Archives (closed in August) or the Mormon Family History Library in Salt Lake City in Utah. Additional translation fees may be incurred for external resources, if applicable.
To save on time and cut down on costs, you can always search for records yourself using the links provided on this blog’s Resources page, particularly Jewishgen.org. You can also try having these records translated on Jewishgen’s Viewmate page (you will need to create a username and password).
